Throughout the college football season, the Tournament of Roses and the Rose Bowl Game Football Committee will select players from each partner conference as the Big Ten and Pac-12 Player of the Week.
For their outstanding performances in week one, Michigan State running back Kenneth Walker III and UCLA running back Zach Charbonnet were selected by the 15-person committee.

- Ran for 264 yards and four rushing touchdowns in the win over Northwestern, 38-21
- Set the record for rushing yards in a season opener for MSU
- Became the first MSU player to run for 250 yards and four touchdowns since 1971
- This is Walker’s first career Rose Bowl Game Big Ten Player of the Week honor

- Scored a touchdown and ran for 117 yards in the 38-27 win over LSU
- Tallied two 100 yard rushing days as a Bruin in two games
- Finished the game with a team-high 152 all-purpose yards
- This is Charbonnet’s first career Rose Bowl Game Pac-12 Player of the Week honor
