While the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association was busy hosting this year’s Rose Parade and Rose Bowl Game, they weren’t too busy to give back to the community.
During bowl week for the 2023 Rose Bowl Game presented by Prudential, the official travel parties from both the University of Utah and Penn State University assembled hygiene kits containing toothpaste, a toothbrush, shampoo, conditioner, soap, a thermal blanket, socks and a mask. Together, the parties assembled 1,000 kits to be distributed to unhoused people in the area.
Following the excitement of the Rose Parade presented by Honda and Rose Bowl Game, the collaboration continued as the 2023 Royal Court picked up the ball and managed the distribution of the kits to Midnight Mission in Los Angeles, who will now ensure the kits make it into the hands of those in need.
This collaborative effort, made possible by the generous support of Walmart, kicks off the Tournament’s year-round commitment to Pasadena and the greater Los Angeles community.
