BETTER TOGETHER

We are heartbroken about the tragedy that is enveloping our country following the senseless deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and too many others, as well as the systemic racism that has long fueled it. To our community – we recognize your pain, frustration and fatigue over the horrible injustices faced by Black people for far too long.

We share in this grief, we condemn all acts of racism, we support all voices raised in peaceful protest, and we stand in solidarity with every person, organization and institution working to heal our communities.

We care deeply about Pasadena, and believe the region’s beauty and strength are a result of its diversity. We also recognize that words alone aren’t enough.

As a long-standing community partner, we are committed to being better allies to the Black community, being more active in the fight against all forms of racism, and participating in creating a more just and equitable society.
