Throughout the 2019 college football season, the Tournament of Roses and the Rose Bowl Game Football Committee will select players from each partner conference as the Big Ten and Pac-12 Player of the Week.

For their outstanding performances in week 7, Wisconsin quarterback Jack Coan and Arizona State quarterback Jayden Daniels were selected by the 15-person committee.

Big Ten Player of the Week
Jack Coan, Wisconsin
Jr., QB, Sayville, N.Y.

  • Completed 18-of-21 passes for 180 yards and a touchdown in a 38-0 win over Michigan State
  • Went 14-for-16 for 126 yards and a touchdown (174.3 pass efficiency rating) in the first half as the Badgers built a 17-0 lead
  • Has won his last 8 starts and is now 8-2 as the Badgers’ starter
  • This is Coan’s first career Rose Bowl Game Big Ten Player of the Week honor and second for Wisconsin in 2019

Pac-12 Player of the Week
Jayden Daniels, Arizona State
Fr., QB, San Bernardino, Calif.

  • Threw for a career-high 363 yards and three touchdowns in a victory over Washington State, 38-34
  • Scored the game-winning touchdown on a 17-yard run with 34 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter
  • Finished his third game-winning drive in six career starts
  • This is Daniel’s first career Rose Bowl Game Pac-12 Player of the Week honor
