Throughout the 2018 college football season, the Tournament of Roses and the Rose Bowl Game Football Committee will select players from each partner conference as the Big Ten and Pac-12 Player of the Week.

For their outstanding performances in week 10, Northwestern running back Isaiah Bowser and Washington State quarterback Gardner Minshew II were selected by the 15-person committee.

Big Ten Player of the Week
Isaiah Bowser, Northwestern
Fr., RB, Sidney, Ohio

  • Ran for a career-high 165 yards on 31 carries in a 14-10 win over Iowa
  • Scored a touchdown on a 34-yard rush to give Northwestern the lead in the third quarter, 7-3
  • Posted his third career 100-yard rushing performance of the year
  • This is Bowser’s first Rose Bowl Game Player of the Week honor and second for Northwestern this year

Pac-12 Player of the Week
Gardner Minshew II, Washington State
Sr., QB, Brandon, Miss.

  • Completed 35-of-58 passes for 335 yards and two touchdowns in the 31-7 win over Colorado
  • Added a rushing touchdown, his third of the season
  • Recorded his 10th career 300-yard passing game, tying the Washington State single-season record
  • This is Minshew’s third Rose Bowl Game Pac-12 Player of the Week honor and third for WSU this year
