Throughout the 2019 college football season, the Tournament of Roses and the Rose Bowl Game Football Committee will select players from each partner conference as the Big Ten and Pac-12 Player of the Week.

For their outstanding performances in week 2, Purdue quarterback Elijah Sindelar and USC quarterback Kedon Slovis were selected by the 15-person committee.

Elijah Sindelar, Purdue
R-Sr., QB, Princeton, Ky.

  • Tied a school-record with six total touchdowns in a 42-24 win over Vanderbilt
  • Threw for a career-high 509 yards and added 10 yards rushing
  • Named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week
  • This is Sindelar’s first Rose Bowl Game Big Ten Player of the Week honor

Pac-12 Player of the Week
Kedon Slovis, USC
Fr., QB, Scottsdale, Ariz.

  • Set a USC record for passing yards in a debut by a true freshman in the 45-20 win over Stanford
  • Completed 28-of-33 passes for 377 yards and three touchdowns
  • Led the Trojans to score 42 of the final 45 points of the game
  • This is Slovis’ first Rose Bowl Game Pac-12 Player of the Week honor
