Throughout the 2018 college football season, the Tournament of Roses and the Rose Bowl Game Football Committee will select players from each partner conference as the Big Ten and Pac-12 Player of the Week.
For their outstanding performances in week one, Purdue wide receiver Rondale Moore and Stanford wide receiver JJ Arcega-Whiteside were selected by the 15-person committee.

- Set a Purdue-record with 313 all-purpose yards in his first collegiate game against Northwestern
- Caught a game-high 11 passes for 109 yards and a touchdown
- Added 79 yards rushing and touchdown, as well as 125 return yards
- Marks the second straight week a Purdue player has won Big Ten Player of the Week honors (Markell Jones, 2017, week 13)

- Tallied 226 receiving yards, the third most in a game in Stanford history, and three touchdowns against San Diego State
- Added a team-high six catches, including an 80-yard touchdown
- Became the first Stanford receiver to earn Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week since October, 2007
- First Stanford Player to win Rose Bowl Game Pac-12 Player of the Week since Bryce Love won in week five last season
