Throughout the 2018 college football season, the Tournament of Roses and the Rose Bowl Game Football Committee will select players from each partner conference as the Big Ten and Pac-12 Player of the Week.

For their outstanding performances in week 10, Michigan quarterback Shea Patterson and USC running back Aca’Cedric Ware were selected by the 15-person committee.

Big Ten Player of the Week
Shea Patterson, Michigan
Jr., QB, Shreveport, La.

  • Threw for 144 yards on 11-of-17 passing and ran for 42 yards in Michigan’s 42-7 win over Penn State
  • Tallied three total touchdowns, two passing and one on the ground, his fourth three touchdown game of the season
  • Now has 16 total touchdowns (14 passing, two rushing) on the season
  • This is Patterson’s first Rose Bowl Game Player of the Week honor and first for Michigan this year

Pac-12 Player of the Week
Aca’Cedric Ware, USC
Sr., RB, DeSoto, Texas

  • Ran for 205 yards and three touchdowns in USC’s victory over Oregon State, 38-21
  • Scored on two long runs, a 57-yard and 62-yard sprint
  • Leads USC in rushing with 627 yards this season, 7.0 yards per carry and 69.7 yards per game
  • This is Ware’s first Rose Bowl Game Pac-12 Player of the Week honor and first for USC this year
