ROSE PARADE and ROSE BOWL GAME Package

Day 1 - Monday, December 29, 2008

Welcome to Pasadena! You check in at the hotel registration desk and proceed directly to the Official Tour host desk at your hotel. At 6:00 p.m., gather in your designated hotel with other tour guests for a Welcome Reception to share in the excitement of the New Year’s festivities. Tonight is an evening of leisure; feel free to explore Old Town Pasadena for entertainment and dining.

Day 2 - Tuesday, December 30, 2008

This morning, after breakfast, your host will present a tour briefing to help you become familiar with what to expect in the days to follow. Afterward, motor coaches will be available at the hotel to take you on a tour of the float decorating sites. You will see volunteers applying fresh and fragrant flowers to the beautiful, colorful and extraordinary Rose Parade floats. As you travel to the Rose Bowl Stadium, a great photo opportunity, enjoy the scenery of the beautiful city of Pasadena. Enjoy lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon, choose between attending a Tournament of Roses event, Bandfest, where the energetic marching bands appearing in the Rose Parade will perform their field shows or discover The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens.

Day 3 - Wednesday, December 31, 2008

Enjoy your free day. The day is yours to discover the many shops, restaurants and sights of Pasadena and the surrounding areas. You can enjoy lunch on your own at a local restaurant. A choice of the following optional excursions is available, at an additional cost: City Tour of Greater Los Angeles - See Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, where many stars have left their mark. Stroll down the Hollywood Walk of Fame where your favorite celebrities’ stars are embedded in the sidewalk. After cruising down the Sunset Strip, you’re off to Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. Then continue towards the coast to view the beautiful Pacific Ocean off the Santa Monica Pier. Universal Studios Hollywood - Go behind the scenes at the biggest movie studio in the world for a real-life movie making experience. Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum with lunch – On this historical tour you will have a half day to see artifacts from President Reagan’s life as a child, Hollywood movie star, governor and president. After lunch, you will be able to walk through the Air Force One that President Reagan used throughout his eight years in office and see a piece of the Berlin Wall. J. Paul Getty Museum – You will have a half day to tour the museum and enjoy the great art collections, serene gardens and panoramic views of the city.

Game guests only: You may choose to attend the spirited Rose Bowl Game Kickoff Luncheon, featuring the Rose Bowl Game coaches, players, and Hall of Fame induction ceremony. This excursion is included in the Premium Game Upgrade package.

All packages - Tonight is New Year’s Eve. You will gather at a Pasadena site for a lovely evening featuring a delicious dinner and dancing. You will bring in the New Year with the people on the East Coast (EST) with the traditional champagne toast!

Day 4 - Thursday, January 1, 2009

New Year’s morning starts very early in Pasadena. Breakfast will be served in your hotel before departing for the 120th Rose Parade. Your seats are located at the beginning of the parade route where television cameras are located. As soon as the final Rose Parade unit has passed, Parade-only guests will depart for a luncheon. Afterwards, you have the option to take the motor coach to the post parade float viewing, where the Rose Parade floats are showcased, or return to your hotel. Game guests will be taken by motor coach to the Rose Bowl adjacent hospitality village for a relaxed pre-game buffet luncheon. Afterward, you will enter the stadium for the 95th Rose Bowl Game and the pre-game show. Guaranteed seating for the Rose Bowl Game is in the corner end zone, section 23 or better if available, with a clear view of the playing field. Premium Game Upgrade guests will be seated in section 19, bordering the 50 yard-line. After the game, you will be taken back to your hotel by motor coach and you can enjoy the post-game excitement.

Day 5 - Friday, January 2, 2009

Early this morning, you will have the option to attend the post parade viewing of the floats, returning to your hotel by 10:30 a.m. Hotel check out time is 12:00 p.m. Before you leave, you will need to cover any extra hotel nights, parking or incidental expenses you may have incurred at the hotel. Your tour guide will be on hand to assist you with transportation information and any last-minute details.
